About Our Audience

One of the biggest challenges of raising a child in Africa is misidentification and media misrepresentation.  That’s because all too often, African children are not the primary audience, nor the primary consumers. At  ACTFF, we want to invite children of African origin and all those interested in African culture to engage with our educational digital content and join the fun. We want to teach kids about their own value and potential with interactive digital content and tools that celebrate African culture and identity.

All of us have experienced childhood. We all learned to walk and speak because someone close to us taught us. Many of us were also influenced by children’s books, cartoons and television shows. Yet so many children lack access to representative content and role models. Today, as children’s media consumption spirals into unprecedented levels, high quality and inclusive content is of the utter most importance. At ACTFF, we strive to create meaningful, positive change through educational content that celebrates diversity to better equip and educate the generations of tomorrow.

Our work focuses on children belonging to two age groups: from two to eleven years old and from twelve to eighteen years old. We believe all African children deserve access to inspirational, educational and culturally rich media content that reflects and celebrates their uniqueness.
